The Bill of Lading (B/L) is one of the most important Dokumente in international maritim trade. It is a rechtlich document issued by the shipping company or its agent confirming that cargo was received in good condition aboard a specific vessel for a specific destination.

Types of Bills of Lading

1. Negotiable B/L Ownership can be transferred by endorsement. Used in international trade where cargo is financed by a Letter of Credit.
